The Associate of Applied Science degree is designed for students who desire a program of study leading to job preparation for entry into the work force. Generally, Associate of Applied Science degrees do not transfer into four-year programs, but some of the courses may transfer.

E-mail: jlboyd@asub.eduThe Medical Laboratory Technology program prepares the graduate to function in a variety of settings, including hospital, clinical reference, crime, environmental health, and research laboratories. Other settings may include physicians' clinics and state and regional blood donation centers. The MLT program is fully accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
**Admittance into the second year of the program is limited to the number of affiliate hospitals and is based upon completion of first year courses and selective admission criteria.**
